Where the IT industry is heading…
And why it’s bad news for non technical users.
The current trend for the IT industry, as I see it – is that of dumbing down all products and services as well as everything around them.
This does make things easier for the non technical, but it also allows for the extracting or the squeezing out of you of as much money as possible – simply because you lack just the basic knowledge and understanding.
This is made even worse by the media – a lot of the information that is put out, which is aimed at home users or those with very little technical knowledge is not only misleading – a lot is incomplete, because it’s incomplete it can be dangerous.
It puts the computer(s), data and identity of those who use that information at risk.
The thing I find funny is the way the articles or news reports on TV are positioned, the result being that it makes the reporters look like the experts.
If they really were experts then they would not leave out the important bits. The important bits are the things that I cover on this blog as well as in my products.
The easy way to remedy this situation is to remember that the vast majority of information put out by the media is complete B.S.

What do you think - comments welcome.
