The 3 tips mentioned from 2:29 onwards are better than nothing, I’ve listed them below but changed number 1 to what should have been said:

1. Find out who friends and family have used,
   if they were happy with the job
   and if they would recommend them.
2. Get written estimates from 3 or more places/people.
3. Agree on the work to be done and the cost first.

One of the things I would do – if I didn’t know anyone like myself, is I would take the computer to multiple stores and/or people and get them to do a quick check before parting with any money.

For all you Ladies out there, flutter those eyelashes and save yourself the $60-$70 diagnostic fee. For you guys out there you can try fluttering your eyelashes but I doubt it will have the same effect – get a female friend to do it for you.

What’s with the diagnostic fee’s any way – all you’re doing is paying them to rip you off even more.
